Building a socially safe working and learning climate together

A socially safe culture starts with dialogue, really listening to each other and learning together. In order to actually achieve change in practice, it is then important to translate these insights into concrete agreements and actions. Dare2Dialogue© (D2D) is an ethics support program that helps teams work together to create a safe and open work and learning environment. On this website, we inform you about this program, our underlying vision, insights gained, and the results of scientific evaluation and impact research.

Social safety refers to the extent to which people feel accepted, respected, and free to be themselves. With D2D, we create space for employees to talk to each other in a safe setting about what social safety means to them and then develop concrete actions together. In three dialogue sessions, employees explore each other's experiences with social (un) safety in the workplace, and their underlying, explicit and implicit values and norms. Together, they develop concrete actions for a sustainable, safer work culture. In this way, we strengthen mutual understanding and lay the foundation for sustainable improvements within teams. We supervise and evaluate this process through scientific research, which we always provide feedback to the teams during the D2D program.
